More Joplin:

These new recordings are nearly all based on MIDI files produced by Warren Trachtman. His web site not only publishes his recordings of Ragtime music but also has a catalogue and some MIDI files from his archive of MIDI transcriptions of Ragtime Piano Rolls. I first came across Warren’s work nearly twenty years ago when I was assembling my collection of MIDI files but as he carefully maintains his copy rights to that work I respected that and didn’t use it as source material for my recordings. On revisiting his site recently I found that his restrictions now apply to commercial applications and as this site is now fund-raising for a charity I have felt free to use his material to fill gaps in my set of Scott Joplin recordings. John Roache sequenced Bethena and John Cowles Combination March
