Piano Quartet in G Minor K478 Remixed:

Mozart wrote these pioneering quartets for instruments that had recently become available and these remixes use the instrumental technology available today. It may offend some listeners but we think we are able to bring something new and interesting to these Mozart MP3 recordings:

Here we present a small Mozart MP3 collection which focuses on two piano quartets which we have arranged on electonic instruments. Mozart was creating a new form with these two quartets for piano, violin, viola and cello which challenged audiences of the time with a cut down version of the concerto. With our Mozart piano MP3's we are offering a fresh approach - replacing the piano with steel drums, the violin with a Mega Moog synthesizer and the other strings with a synth pad. They bring fresh colours to the music and highlight the dazzling counterpoint and harmonic developments of the Piano Quartet in G minor K478 Mozart and its counterpart in E flat Major.

Piano Quartet in E flat Major K493 - Mozart Remix:

This second piano quartet provides a further opportunity to appreciate the virtuosity of Mozart's Piano Music by listening to it on a new combination of instruments :

Contrast these Mozart piano quartet MP3 recordings with our Mozart Orchestral arrangements of works by Beethoven, Chopin, Handel, Haydn and Scarlatti - the impact of percussive instrumentation on the music of these composers is very distinctive.
