Not to be confused with The Entertainer composed by Joplin 10 years later. This piece was specifically written to be performed in cutting competitions i.e. contests to determine the best pianist. The Balinese Gamaelan Orchestra top end gongs are doubled and supported in this arrangement by two marimbas and wooden drums to create an exiting interpretation of this Ragtime Classic.
