The Winter Garden in the title refers to a glazed metal-framed structure, heated to tropical or semi-tropical temperatures for the growing or presentation of exotic displays with birds and insects. The Balinese Gamaelan Orchestra gongs are supported in this arrangement by two marimbas and a bass drum to create a brisk rhythmic interpretation of this Ragtime Classic.
