Classical Songs

Original arrangements on

percussion

This is a small selection of MP3 recordings of  classical songs. It may seem a bit odd to  highlight the presence of MP3 songs on an  instrumental music site but as it happens a  number of classical songs have proved to be  surprisingly effective when arranged on new  world percussion instruments. Some like Ave  Maria and Debussy's Serenade for a Doll  already have strong instrumental development,  while others like the Hallelujah Chorus are a bit  more of a surprise. In a way Mendelssohn's  Songs Without Words only slip into this category  by virtue of their title but they are nice anyway.
